The TAD Foundation started out as the Fundraising Committee in the early 80s. In 1985, a consultant was hired to investigate the long term viability of TAD and one of the recommendations was to establish the TAD Foundation for the sole purpose of raising funds for the operational needs of TAD.

The Technical Aid to the Disabled Foundation was thus formed in February 1987 and acquired Deductable Gift Recipient status (CFN 11103) shortly thereafter . Initial funds came from bequests from TAD clients and volunteers. Some fundraising activities were held and the TADHouse: Reaching New Heights Campaign was started in 2003.

All donations of $2 or more are tax deductable.
