| CLS Volunteer Reg rebuilding a donated computer. |
The service refurbishes donated computers and sells these out to people with disabilities throughout New South Wales. There are currently over 1,200 clients, about half of whom live in regional NSW.
Computers allow people with disabilities to:
- access information and services
- communicate with other people
- develop skills for transitioning into the workforce
- improve cognitive and other skills
- live more independently
Volunteers refurbish computers and peripherals, install software and assist in installing computers in client's homes (service only available in Sydney). Ongoing technical support is provided during work hours. A low cost internet service is available from TADAust Connect from $5.50/month.
Anyone with a disability is eligible to apply for a computer. There is no means test and no need for a referral.
Please proceed to our online enquiry form to lodge your interest in purchasing a computer.
